Peter Ziegler
Peter was a Swiss geologist, who made contributions to the understanding of the tectonics of Europe and the North Atlantic, and of plate tectonic controls on the evolution and hydrocarbon potential of sedimentary basins. Peter Ziegler was an exceptional tectonicist, exploration geologist and researcher. He created the Tectonic Laboratory for Shell in Rijswijk. Laboratory I had the honor to lead.
